Hello Greatness,

An orphan is someone who has no parents.
Many children who loose their parents live very difficult lives because they have no one to look after them or their needs.
Some are taken to houses of guardians or foster homes but the feeling is never the same.

Many of them cannot recognize love or give love because they have undergone so many emotional abuse and other kind of abuses.
This is the reason why many adopted kids/foster kids still feel unloved despite the care and affections showered on them by their carers.

So how does this apply to me, you may ask?
This is how: When Adam fell into sin, we all did and therefore became orphaned as that part of us that recognized our heavenly father died.
Therefore, as a plan of redemption, God through the death of Jesus and His resurrection adopted us.
So we are adopted children of God!
To make this easy and real, He gave us a spirit of sonship so we can call God “papa”.

But this is the problem, not many of us can call God – papa. We say it, sing it, shout it but we don’t understand it.
We still find ourselves struggling with our walk with the Lord. Why? – The orphan spirit.
