Run word 2026- Enter His Rest!
This new year, the Lord wants us to do things more differently so as to enjoy all that He has for us this year going forward.
We live in a generation with so much pressure to perform and outshine others in accomplishments, and achievements etc.
The push to work harder, do more, get more, to gain applause, approval and respect from peers, family, and frenemies continue to drive us into emotional, mental and even spiritual burn out till we completely via off course in the flesh and break the heart of the father.
God has invited us to Enter His Rest this year, and to enter that rest we have to cease from our own works or efforts.
While striving to do better and doing our best is good, we must understand that if they are powered from a place of unrest, it will never bring us to a place of fulfilment and peace.
Rest is much more than relaxing or chilling.
Rest is a state of mind, rest is a place, rest is a position and disposition.
Rest is a revelation!
Entering God’s rest involves shifting from self-reliance to faith.
It is having absolute Trust in God’s love for you and yours.
The Lord led the children of Israel out of Egypt. He did mighty works right before their very eyes so they could put their trust in him, but they doubted the Lord and grew in their unbelief and because of that they could not enter His rest, and they were cut off.
God invested so much in their faith bank with miracles He performed.
Overnight they stripped Egypt off all their wealth, they walked on dry ground of the red sea, even their shoes and clothes were replaced miraculously, yet at every slightest need, they bailed out.
There is nothing that suffocates REST like UNBELIEF.
To enjoy God’s rest, we must make an effort to enter the rest.
The rest is free but entering it will take effort from us.
Trusting God demands intentionality because you will not always feel like it, it should be beyond what you see.
Real rest comes from what you know!
On the 7th day, God rested!
He completed the work!!
If God can rest knowing his work is good, done and dusted. Who are we not to rest?
Jesus said, “it is finished!” Who are we to say it continues?
Rest is like knowing your score before the exam and reading to fulfill all righteousness.
Rest is like knowing you own the company but working to grow in ranks to help you do better as a CEO.
Anything that makes you feel pressure, helpless or that makes you toil to please God and work harder to impress God is not a picture of rest God has drawn for you to enter
It is a yoke you have placed on yourself.
Jesus said his yoke is easy, and his burden is light.
If what you are carrying is so heavy for you, it makes sense to drop it and take up an easier one that will give you rest.
God cannot do business with you if you are not in His rest
Because entering His rest means you know He is and the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Men do business and enter partnership with people they can trust. How much more God?
This year 2026, God wants us to stay in faith and grow our trust in Him.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.
Like never before this year, starve your doubts and feed your faith.
Believe only what God has said about you and be comfortable doing away with lies you have held on to, no matter how long.
Some mind-sets are not compatible with God’s rest.
A heart of anxiety, worry and stress are alternative doors but His Rest is the door we must deliberately enter.
When worry offers its entrance, we must put forth gratitude instead and leave our concerns at his feet.
Any thing that triggers worry and anxiety for you, combat it vehemently because allowing such will give way to doubts and unbelief. Without faith it is impossible to please God.
Let us thrive to do everything this year from a place of rest.
Work from a place of rest, read from a place of rest, serve from a place of rest, do life from a place of rest
Practice his presence – Abide with the Lord, be an addict of God’s presence because that is where joy (that fuels our strength and powers our rest) lives.
When you begin to feel unrest about something, that you initially had rest with, take it back to the Lord and stay there till you get a word.
The word of God is flawless, and it can never lie.
Maintain a company of people who are at rest and not lazy.
Lazy people cannot be at rest because it takes effort, it takes obedience to be at rest.
Ignoring the promptings of the Holy Spirit agitates your spirit and results in unrest.
Continue to meditate on God’s love for you.
You are not inferior!
You do not need to change or alter any part of your body to be acceptable.
You are work in progress, learning and getting better.
You are thriving in your skills and learning at your pace.
God loves you and you do not need to compete with anyone.
You will arrive at your destination in His timing as He makes everything beautiful in his time.
Even when you mess up, run back to him and make amends. He is ever merciful, and He will keep coming after you.
Let this faith-filled word settle deep within you.
Enter His rest and enjoy God’s best in 2026.
